CFast cards supporting the current CFast 1.1 specification are based on the Serial ATA Gen II interface (SATA-II) and support bus speeds up to 300MB/s. These cards have largely been used within industrial markets. The new CFast 2.0 specification expected to be released in CQ4, 2012 will support SATA-III with bus speeds up to 600MB/s. CFast cards based on the CFast 2.0 specification are intended for both industrial along with professional imaging and video markets.
