Before making a settings to MIDI Device, we strongly suggest you choose DC power adapter instead of USB Cable. For the MIDI starters, here is a MIDI tool for Windows users i.e. - MIDI-OX (7.0.2).
1. Connect MIDI-Keyboard with 5-Pin DIN MIDI Cable to your computer.
2. Download MIDI-OX and install it on your computer.
3. Run MIDI-OX and make settings like the following
MIDI Port Activity - Check the MIDI Input & Output Status
MIDI Port Routing - Your MIDI Connection settings
