How to Read and Write from Serial port using Raspberry Pi?

DriverGenius / V.TOP USB232A-B USB-RS232 Adapter was tested on Debian GNU. To use USB232A-B on Rasberry Pi. We go the following steps. 

Step 1 - Update and upgrade Pi

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade

Step 2 - Enable enable and disable the serial input/output interface by  raspi-config tool

sudo raspi-config

Step 3 - Configurate the serial input/output and make sure to restart the Raspberry Pi. To do so, you will either be prompted, or you can type
sudo reboot
